As you know, Michael Jackson is dead. Lab Pet is Alaskan and LOOK at this awesome DIY video (by real Alaskans, summertime, on site); Field Station's own tribute to "Thriller." Enjoy and turn up the volume. You may dance along too:

....hope this embedding works

Hot??? I'm an Alaskan by birth; whilst AK can get (sort-of) hot in summer the highest temp would be maybe 80 F & that's exceptional. I live in the Interior region where it can get 'hot' but not like other places in the world. Mostly AK is cool/moderate in summertime......Alaska is really beautiful too.

Oh, the mosquitoes! Yay, they can be vicious blood suckers 8O
Some of the Thriller Dancers were wearing mosquito face netting. But they're not that bad. And just during select times in summer. Toolik Field Station (North Slope) doesn't get hot. In fact, where that's filmed (and it's recent) they're all wearing outer gear. We can get chilly summers. And winter is frigid.

But FUN video - good job guys!

cool vid, and yes, the tropics have their share of insects, but tundras have their share of little flying monsters too

on a mountain plateau here in norway a 1,5 inch black thing lifted off from my leg, and flew away, and a strip of blood ran down my leg and into my shoe... :I

ive never really been sure. it seemed more elongated, more black than gray, almost like a black grasshopper in shape, but it was very quick, as i said, i saw it lift off from my leg, and buzz off. i remember it looked heavy :I

.....Maybe a vampire bat :skull: with all that blood......careful out there ZEGH8578 8O

Alaska does have some vicious mosquitoes & they've adapted to become immune to DEET! Since Michael Jackson is dead he's immune to their effects; hence the cool vid 8)
