When I was at my heaviest, nobody offered me food. Then I lost fourty pounds and suddenly, everyone was offering me spare ribs, baked beans, doughnuts, and clam chowder! I didn't even ask for any food or say "I'm hungry." They just gave it to me. :?

Gained some of the weight back, nobody was offering me any food.

Lost some weight again, people are offering me food again! One coworker even gave me her own lunch today and told me to eat it.

Seriously, I'm not that skinny. Thanks for the compliment, though.

For those people who have lost a noticeable amount of weight, do more people offer you food and insist that you eat it?

(EDIT:) Not a question to those people who have always been naturally skinny and have never lost or gained weight. This question is specifically for those people who have lost weight, no matter how skinny/fat they are.

lol, last i checked my body fat percentage was only 11%. excessive weight loss for me prolly wouldn't be very healthy. despite that i'm like 180

gaining a lil weight is my goal. and that's why i need the free food

When I was at my thinnest, everyone called me anorexic but no one offered me food. Weird.

Being heavier themselves, they probably just couldn't be content with someone being skinnier than them.

To be more specific, when I lose weight, I lose a lot of it very quickly. I don't use any crazy diet pills or fasting or anything like that. I just... lose it when I am decide that I should. It falls off naturally.
But so quickly that people notice immediately without me saying a word. :?

Is that why people impulsively shove fatty foods in front of me?

Probably do all the time but when you are skinnier, but after putting in the effort to lose weight, you are probably paying more attention to your food intake where as before you just ate it =P. Or what the robot said, they are jealous =P.

I personally hate that I come from a family that is half italian half greek when it comes to this kind of thing =P. These people actually find it insulting if you dont try everything they make at the holidays or what ever get together and dont eat till you are ready to pass out.
I even went out to eat with my uncle a few weeks ago, got some pasta w/alfredo sauce dish and ate half of it and didnt hear the end from him for 5 mins "whats the matter? you didnt like it? finish it! come on, i'm paying, eat it all, dont take it home, what? you dont like? I take you out to dinner and you dont want to eat, whats the matter?"

Here ya go, Tim_Tex.
Try the baked beans, they're absolutely delicious! And they will leave you feeling 'musical', if you know what I mean.

I haven't been skinny in a long time.

But I don't recall having food shoved at me when I was.

Like I said before, it was after I lost weight that I noticed people giving me more food.

I was skinny for a long while before I gained the weight in the first place, and nobody gave me extra food. I suppose it isn't just about being skinny.

I guess it's about losing weight... or something. :?

In my family, that's actually a competitive sport.
