I can't believe I can't go into a chatroom for people aged 20 and up without some 15 year old pestering me with sexual questions! Don't these kids (or morons) realise that it's ILLEGAL for me to get involved???????? Really.............

Sorry, I just had some kid ask me stuff for a "sex ed" assignment........I told him to ask his parents and left the room.........ugh.

In France, policemen are now allowed to pretend being minors.
It's a very recent law and it's meant to protect the real minors (under 18 here) from dirty predators.

But they go the other you do: they get in touch with young people on chat rooms dedicated for the youngsters and pretend to be one of them. So as they can catch the pedophiles.

So you're not paranoid. Everyone has to be cautious about one's speech.
It's very easy for some to make fun of others on internet.

Don't you know how it's difficult to supervise teen agers when they are on their PCs?
Especially if those are in their bedrooms, doors closed.

And some are so good with computers that they can do whatever they want despite any parent's precautions.

Parents don't always know best.
They know for sure for some things but not for others.

I think it's quite difficult nowadays as children between 11-15 years seem to be becoming more promiscuous (I say 11-15 years as, in the UK, the legal age of consent is 16, so adjust according to your country's legal age). So they are going to ask questions related to sex online so as to retain some anonymity without actually having to confront an adult who may not want to talk to them. If they get knocked back online for whatever reason, they won't feel as bad about it and are likely to ask someone else. Sometimes they don't disclose their age which readily gets them the answer they are looking for. It is very difficult to police websites like this to look for minors, unless they reveal themselves. Kezzstar, the fact that you told this person to ask their parents and report them was the right thing to do.

my litele brothers always ask me what things like you said mean, Fetish, Penetratte, whatthe frog position is, my 12 year old aspie friend is also a nysgjerrigper, he shows no thing like mercy when it comes to such questions at aall.

i notice kids will also ask just to hear you say certain words, to "check" if words/concepts are well known among those close to them.

both my brother when he was little, and my sisters later on have asked me stuff that i SUSPECT they allready knew about.

if i HAVE to do embarassing explanations, it should at least be something they dunno about, not just for them to hear me say certain words, or nearly kill myself w embarassment trying to find synonyms or something.
