I never noticed that, but I automatically open stuff in a new tab from the google search results page. makes life easier.

I've also wondered why that is. Weird and very annoying.

Have you tried clicking the small symbol next to the back button -- the one that gives the drop-down menu? I've found that if I click on that and then use it to back up by 2 steps it breaks out of the loop.

It seems like the page one step back reloads the current one, so you have the skip back 2. As to why, I have no idea...

If you right-click the Green 'back' button, you'll get a listing of the last places you've visited, and just select one. That'll take you to where you're going. You can open a 2nd session by clicking on the 'divide' symbol, to the right of your open session, and do whatever you like from there.

Oh yeah, I hate that, I'd love to know what causes it. Do people do it on purpose, like as a clever trap to keep you on their page? XD;;; I hope not, because in that case it does the opposite of what it's supposed to...

And in firefox you can middle-click on these links to open them in new tabs.

In most internet browsers (internet browsers that are worth a crap, anyway) there's a nifty function called 'tabs'. Just right-click and press 'Open Tab' or hold Ctrl while pressing a link, and voila! Just take it away when finished reading. No websites annoying you anymore.

Enough words? :P

Kanske folk inte skulle finna det särskilt intressant... >_<

Anyway, this thread is massively off-topic. :P

I got some update notifications for Windows XP and read through what it says for Internet Explorer 8 and I quote

Internet Explorer 8 is the latest version of the familiar Web browser that you are most comfortable using.

It made me laugh. I feel very uncomfortable using IE7, and more happier with Firefox....

Yea, it's anoying, but the little down arrow next to the forward button gives a list of the most recent pages in that tab, so I can just go back to the search results from that list. Image
