Don't mean to be rude, but why? Your profile is what you've made it to be. The only reason for thinking a new nick would mean a new you is if you plan to change before you start using the new nick. The only reason for planning to change is if you think there is something wrong with you. If you do think there is something wrong with you why not address that issue? It would show more character to change over time than to immediately pretend to be someone else.

edit:add

Unless "...GuyThatDidThat" is a reference to something not nice that you did before and you're sorry for that now. Then good for you. :)

I`m sorry, but you are wrong. That line of thinking dont work with this.

I never get along with people, so figured I`d be here for about 3-4 hours max.
So I didnt bother thinking of the name, I just wanted to see what this was.

Then, I found out that there was a lot of nice people here, and really wanted to
try and hang around. And the more time I spent here, the more annoying the nickname
got, because its to long and takes up so much space, it distracts me. Therefor I would
really like to change it to a short one, or begin from the start. But its not very important,
I just wanted to ask if it possible to do it, never mind.

How you arrived at this conclution:

"The only reason for planning to change is if you think there is something wrong with you."

is a mystery to me, makes no sense at all. (to me).

Why must my mom be depressed and anxious as well? Isn't it enough that I have to deal with it?

I don't think he understood that you were merely sorry that you chose a long cumbersome name, and now you want a shorter one.

Ask one of the Mods if you can either get the name changed, or start over with a new one. Just remember that you are not allowed to use both accounts.

Why don't all animals(incl. us) have the ability to speak with each other, in some universal language? :chin:

Why are people overtly sensitive to vain subjects of a superficial, mundane or simplistic nature when the world is on verge of a ecological cataclysmic event?

I mean it is me, or has the human race finally gone insane for it's last time?

Could this insanity be caused by something deep in everyone's subconscious mind, secretly feeling the cry of nature's pain and fury towards the human species?

Should humanity be forgiven and given a second chance?

Finally, what potential future prospects would result beyond such events, if the ability to start all over in the dark ages again is granted for humanity?

Sorry, five questions I know, but all in linear progression of thought.
