I used to watch this when I was growing up. Well, a few weeks ago, I remembered that I used to watch it and found some of the episodes...and they're just as good as what I remember, even better.

Personally, I didn't like the revamp the series had in the mid 90's, because it destroyed one of things that made the show unique....

Anyone else out there used to watch it?

I tried watching The Batman, but never really got into it.

Who was your fav. villian? Mine was a tie between Joker and Harley Quinn

I would say victor freeze but sometimes he was more of a victim himself, umm, probably the joker would be one and the penguin.

I loved Batman: The Animated Series. I'm not much for The Batman or any of the new cartoons for that matter. I'd still watch the other one if I had the channel it comes on. The Joker is not only my favorite Batman villain, but one of my all time favorites. :D

Dude, this was one of my favorite cartoons growing up. Mark Hamill's Joker will go down as the definitive Joker performance.

Batman is my favorite superhero \m/ Two of them are looking at me right now 8O

Never saw The Batman, but if it's anything like Batman Beyond, I'm sure I won't like it at all.

I need to get some of those TAS DVDs.

And the new special edition DVDs of the Tim Burton movies.

And some of those early comic collection books, too =D

The animated series by Bruce Timm is the best!

I really hate 'The Batman' the art is awful, I really have Americain animation trying to use anime styles... they are just no good at it. Just about any updated version of a cartoon from the 80's and early 90's sucks, the drawings are lazy and the colors are too bright from the computer coloring. Do they really think that kids have such a short attention span that they have to brighten the colors and use flashy CGI?

When my niece and nephew come over I pull out my DVD colletion of old cartoons (My little pony, Bucky O hare, Biker mice, ect.) and they love it! That is all they want to do when the come over is watch old cartoons.

Harley Quinn was probally the best. I like the relationship between him and Bruce and Two-Face and Batman. "The Batman" is dumb the art sucks and the story is off.

Personally, I don't like kid's shows today. Disney Channel was the best years ago, but now I don't like what comes on. Same way with Cartoon Network.

One of my favourite cartoons when I was a kid. I remember the episode with Baby Doll. I liked her. It's pity she was seen so rarely in the series. I was always fascinated with "evil children" from movies and books.

I got a dvd set from a good friend of mine. I still watch it constantly. My favorite villain is the joker.

The animation used in the batman series as well as some new cartoons like Teen Titans is anime style but do not confuse it with being 'american' style anime.

Look at the credits at the end of the show. All the artists are Korean (not Japanese)

I read that WB had hired a group of artists IN korea to do the animation while the studios in the US did the actual production and editing 'n stuff.

I like it personally. I prefer that to many of the 'new style' anime coming out of Japan. CGI anime looks horrible. the old hand-drawn anime is a work of art on its own right.

Love this series. Timm's Batman TAS, Batman Beyond, and Justice League Unlimited plus Disney's Gargoyles are the highlights of American television animation in the last 40 years.

Actually, it's a retro title. Batman was originally known as the Bat-Man. Agree that the series sucks though.
