Stupid Question ALERT!
Long story short I would like to start watching TV online. I'm at college & do not have a TV (so even though their is a cable hookup in the room it doesn't do me any good) . Their are only a few shows I would like to watch but b/c I haven't had cable at school or home in over 4 yrs.
obviously I can't. When looking up sites to watch shows (I've mainly been using youtube for silly stuff) how do you know which ones won't charge you (I try to read their site use policy things, but their so long I definitely miss some of it). My main method of preventing identity theft is not giving away any of my personal info (I don't join many sites (I belong to here & one other site anonymously) & never give my name, address, card info, etc.). If something asks for that stuff I get off the site (most of the time except a few instances where I gave away my b-day for stupid horoscope crap/I was really bored) or I lie. I don't care if I sound paranoid (I delete almost every email I get unless I know for sure who/what org sent it) because I AM! Especially b/c I'm clueless.
(at myself) I'm guessing .org sites are safe & my brother told me hulu.com is fine. Should I trust his judgment on that?
p.s. Pathetic alert, pathetic alert!
