If you take anyone whose half Japanese or half African-American or whatever and the other part white, chances are they'd choose the non-Anglo culture.

Even in fiction. Spock for example. He's half human, half vulcan yet he's chosen a vulcan way of life. Non-emotion, pursuit of logic, vegetarian...

Is white "culture" so vanilla that no one wants to adopt it?

Might sound a little racist and everything. It's just something I'm wondering about. I'm all for mixed relationships and all. Just curious.

What have you got against vanilla?
It smells so good when you open the sugar box.

(and I say it plain, no double or triple entendre!)

I'm biracial (Half "Black", half "White"), and I have not adopted what many people consider to be "Black Culture."
In fact, many of my peers complain that I act "too white."

And going off topic, I prefer Chocolate Ice-cream to Vanilla ice-cream!

Hey kitten. Thanks for sharing! (and you're a cutie - just saw your myspace)

I guess I just meant getting back to the roots of their ancestors and whatnot.

Watching Clean House today, there was a girl Japanese/Anglo who wanted all her decor in her room to reflect her Japanese heritage.

What about poor mom? I'm sure her side of the family has a rich heritage too.

Or is it that white people have always been seen as the aggressors?

I prefer chocolate too. Premium chocolate. Not the crappy stiff that foams as it melts.

Also, I do consider myself color-blind to a certain degree. I think I have a case of adverse racism where I want to be extra nice to whatever folks of African descent I come across.

I had a wicked big crush on a woman who worked at the mall a few years ago. She was mulatto. (is that okay to say?) and back at Job Corps even longer ago, there was a black girl I really wanted to get to know, y'know? So, yeah, I got a thing for the sistas.
