Got a text from someone I haven't seen in ages....how to....

So I got a text from someone, and didn't remember the number. It was a forwarded message. I said and I quote "Meh? Who is this?". They responded saying who they were. Someone I was friends with in late middle school early highschool. I haven't seen him in ages(probably won't see him again), so i asked how he's doing. He said awesome, and I said so was I. So.... My question is...

Should that be the end of it? should I continue texting him? or what?

Some people seek others from their childhood and toss out the "hey howya doin" line.

Some of them are lonely, treated badly by time perhaps, who find solace in the past. Some contact you because they're seeking money for some cause. And some of them are just creeps.

Unless you have a particular attraction to him, just let it die.
