For me 76:14 by Global Communication

I'm more of a proto-electronica sort of person. Ever hear of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop? They did some interesting stuff - if you go back to the early 1960s, the heyday of Doctor Who and radiophonic musician Delia Derbyshire, they used to put together music using oscilloscopes (for the tone) and scissors and sticky tape (to compose it, by cutting up the mag tape). The theme for Doctor Who was done that way, and over 45 years later it's still outstanding!

I loved Acid Brass, which is exactly what it sounds like: a brass band playing acid house.

Holy crap, I just saw the thread title and immediately thought Global Communication, and lo and behold, that's what I found inside, too. I'm in the process of looking for more stuff like 76:14, hard to find anything like it though. It's ambient chillout electronica it seems, and it's hard to find music like that. Closest thing so far seems to be ambient space music, but that's much more... ambient.
