I LOVE sunflower seeds, except I've never had fresh ones - only the salted roasted kind that grow in plastic bags.

I HATE those seeds from plastic bags you can buy in stores - they look like they were mummified :eew:

I like the kernels (I buy them already shelled).

I like them, but I get so impatient having to de-shell them all.

for me shelling them out is a kind of a stimming behaviour, makes me feel so calm and my mind is much clearer.

pity that they're so fatty ;p I could eat them for hours.

I love them if they're de-shelled and un-salted. Salt tastes good, yeah, but if I don't like the taste of something without salt, I'd rather not eat it at all than to have salt on it. Once I know I can remove the shells easily, I'm going to grow sunflowers next year. The fat in the kernals is actually good for you.

I love sunflower seeds. I have a strong affinity twords them.
When I was four my face turned blue and swollen on one side, it happened gradually, each day getting worse. My parents got really worried and took me to the hospital. The diagnoses? I have a sunflower seed stuck up my nose and it had sprouted.
Love sunflowers as well, I'm growing chocolate cherry, deep, dark burgundy colored ones, nearly black. So beautiful

I love sunflower seeds! I prefer the ones without the shells because they're easier to eat.

I also like pumpkin seeds.

Trader Joe's sells sunflower seed butter that is just awesome. I'll never eat peanut butter again after eating sunflower butter.
