I have a PS3 and was running low on HDD space. I couldn't even download a demo. :-( I tryed backing stuff to an external HDD but it wouldn't work and out of frustration I reformatted the DAMN thing which deleted EVERYTHING! :-( Now I'm kind of upset since not only do I have to restart the games I just bought (I was at 20% in the Batman game) but I also lost having 100% in Tools of Destruction and my MGS4 beat at 3AM in the morning data. :-( Sure I can beat them again but those first time memories are gone!! !! :-( People on GameFAQ'S thought I was silly for deleteing EVERYTHING but I was frustrated and said the hell with it! On the bright side I have enough GB for the new Ratchet and Assassin's Creed 2 coming out Oct 27th and Nov17th respectively. Sorry for ranting but I'm upset and it got me to thinking who else is NOT computer knowledgeable? :-(

I understand computers, but I don't understand the PS3.

But I know what it's like to lose save files :x

Yeah you have to know how things work. You can't just start pushing buttons and hoping everything works out - what would happen if you did that will trying to drive a car?

What file system is your external harddisk using? PS3 only supports FAT32.

You can choose the file system when you format a harddisk. But remember to backup the data on it before doing so.

I understand a lot about computers, but there are a lot that I struggle with that gets annoying. For example, I follow instructions to install PSPTube, but my PSP won't accept it.

Huh I don't have PSP so I'm not certain. From what I've heard, you need hacked firmware to use PSPTube or any other non-Sony sanctioned programs.

That sucks, heh.
I understand computers very well to a certain level, but past that level, it's like.. my logic totally doesn't sync with computer logic, and I always end up doing the wrong thing. D:
