My admiration from reading Spazzergasm's signature a few moments ago prompted me to make this thread, as I've been contemplating creating it for the past ten minutes or so.

I love meat, I'm a fanatic about it. BBQ is one of my greatest joys in life.

I've been trying to acquire some rabbit meat as of lately. On my dad's ranch out in a small town 70 miles from here, he and my stepmother had a business in rabbit meat. They would raise a couple hundred rabbits or so at a time, and my stepmother would chop the critters and process them herself. They were the main suppliers of the A.J.'s in town, and even make special deliveries.
Thanks to this rabbit ranch, we had rabbit for dinner quite frequently. Good stuff!!

I've eaten rabbit a number of times. I live in an area with a large Polish population, so they sell it in a local supermarket (rabbit is a popular food item in Eastern Europe). I read somewhere that one of the best ways to cook rabbit is stewing it in a pot with potatoes and mushrooms. That's the recipe I tried, and ended up liking it. Most Americans seem horrified at the notion of eating it (due to associating it with the Easter bunny, presumably), but a lot of immigrants I spoke to say that it's popular in their home countries.

I used to eat meat quite a bit, but now I hate it and I rarely eat it. It's weird - it's like someone flipped a switch.

Actually a lot of Americans seem horrified about eating rabbits due to people thinking that they are too cute to eat.

Americans are extremely hypocritical about animal rights. We kill and eat chicken cows pigs... but if we as much as raise our voice at a neigbors cat or dog or horse we get arrested and featured in the evening news right next to murderers and pedofiles. :?
