Villains. I can't be the only one who sometimes roots for them in films and games, and some of them are pretty awesome. Let's talk about some awesome bad or evil characters.

Image
Pinky
The supermouse from pinky and the brain voiced by Maurice LaMarche, deserves a mention, even if for nothing other than his sheer determination.

Image
Darth Vader
Obligatory, one of the granddaddies of evil, voiced by James Earl Jones, although embodied by David Prowse with Sebastian Shaw providing the horrifying face under the mask.

Image
Agent Smith
Neo's nemesis throughout the Matrix series, later known only as "Smith", this program-turned-virus is played by Hugo Weaving.

Image
Megatron
Hugo Weaving also did the voiceover for this evil robot in the new transformers film series. Megatron has everything, he creates destruction, has Starscream as his subordinate, and makes his pact with the demonic Unicron in the first film.

Image
Liquid Snake
Solid Snake's clone brother from the Metal Gear Solid series, this guy has stealing a all-terrain, nuclear-equipped, walking battle tank, capable of launching nuclear warheads from anywhere on the planet under his belt, voiced by Cam Clarke.

Image
Borg Queen
The ruthlessly intelligent, mostly synthetic leader of the the borg collective from star trek, played by Alice Krige and Susanna Thompson, meets Captain Picard in First Contact, and Captain Janeway in the Voyager series.

Image
The Terminator
Cyberdyne Systems Model 101, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the terminator series, is a near-unstoppable cybernetic killing machine, later turned protector by reprogramming.

Who are your favourite villains?

Yes, I often root for the baddie. In the case of Sylar in Heroes though, looks alone would be justification...although there is something about supposedly being exceptional, but not having gifts that I identify with...

Otherwise, not so much villians as anti-heroes....I will admit I am over fond of Travis Bickle.

I often get way too attached to the baddies. Heh. ^-^;

I wonder if I'm the only one that cried when Voldemort died...

For me it's often not neccessarily so much that I root for the bad guy. Often I simply find the good guys so immoral, hypocrite or just plain full of it that I can't root for them.

I know what you mean. For example in The Dark Knight, the new Batman film, Batman was not only full of himself, but acting immorally and spying on an entire city.

But I thought the joker was great. Social experiments with bombs, magic-trick style killing with a pencil, even keeping his cool better than Batman when he's being interrogated by him.
