Mine is a cross between China and Cambodia. I used to love Japan but I no longer find it's culture terribly interesting anymore. I love China, and it's languages as well(Chinese isn't just one but many, many, many languages under one name) are very beautiful as is it's rural landscapes which vary from forests to deserts that are annually covered in snow.

Cambodia is interesting because it has a very strange language and a very colorful history( E.G. The Thai moved into our lands and took over after running from the Mongols, Vietnam's war has come to our land and americans are bombing our people to kill the Vietcongs and keep them from ambushing Saigon, Communists take over and systematically off the educated people and, this man who was once our king sold our country to the communists but later after the commies were wiped out, we feel compelled to elect him as king along with putting former commies in power, etc.). It is also one of the original asian-indian hybrid countries as the Thai and Lao were originally nomads from Yunnan, China thst csme down when the mongols attacked China. Angkor Wat, the most famous temple in Southeast Asia, and one of the modern wonders of the world I think( I'd have to get back to you on that one) is my favorite building ever constructed. It's a shame that Cambodia is sort of a subtle totalitarian state( apparently the government offs or imprisons those who speak out against the government) and that it's so poor.

For those interested, here is a shoddily made animation(the gov't made it apparently but obviously they do not know how to use 3d software) about the history of Angkor Wat. It's interesting even though it's entirely in Khmer(Cambodian language)

I have a beautiful painting of Angkor Wat in my kitchen. My neighbor is from Cambodia and she went to visit her mother who still lives there and brought home the painting for us. I also have two beautiful Cambodian two-piece dresses that my neighbor gave me. And a huge painted fan that hangs in my hall way.

I love Italy. It's where my grandparents came from. I visited there with my Dad and my sister and her daughter and I hope to return. Also, I would love to visit the Holy Land someday.

New Zealand is my favorite I think.

USA (shutup!) Australia and Canada are nice.

France, Italy, Spain... mostly for the history, the culture, and their links to cycling.

I am so untravelled, I have never left Canada, even going to eastern Canada would be like going to a foreign country.
Almost anywhere in the world would be a dream come true for me

They're all the same as they're all inhabited by people.

Oh that one's interesting. They used or may still to have the worst literary rate( I have a parody atlas that states Burkina Faso is where the reading rainbow ends and features a picure of a Burkina Faso citizen readin an aids pamphlet upside-down.) if I recall. But thats an interesting choice regardless. Is it their culture, language, or something else that interests you?

As for anyone who hasn't been to another country, it's all right. I've never really been out of the U.S. unless you count the days I spent in the UK commonwealth known as the Bahamas which is really close to Florida, my home state. I have also been to Puerto Rico to visit family but it's technically a US territory. If you know a lot about a country and admire it enough, even if you haven't been there, it can be your favorite country.

I love Bolivia... It has such an interesting culture and history. I actually tried studying abroad there, but because of civil strife they sent me to Ecuador instead. Still, all of the Andean countries are fascinating. I love the artwork, the folkloric music, the food...

I like a lot of countries. I want to go everywhere!

Right now I like New Zealand alot. I think sometime down the road I would like to study abroad for a semester at the University of Auckland. I looked on their website and they appear to be very similarly academically to where I'm going now and their ranked about 20 spots higher on the top 200 colleges.

Also I plan on applying to a one month program in South Africa. I've always wanted to go there. I'm not a soccer fan but the world cup being their will probably make the experience a lot more fun.

Sweden is awesome, it doesn't take long time for me to drive over there either, they have awesome candy, and "svenske køttbullar" is something that's good about IKEA :D
