Hey Y'all;

Had a very good day today :D in contrast to huge meltdown  the other day.

Drove myself and bubbybird, my wife, about 30 minutes into the city (we live in small rural town of abut 8700 people) to do errands and buy fun stuff.

Went to Home Depot and bought a couple sheets of that extruded polystyrene insulation stuff - we use it for making landscape on our model railroad.

Had lunch at Taco Bell.

Went to Petco for cat food and whatever else looked interesting.

Stopped in Christian book and gift store next to Petco, first time we'd gone to bookstore.

Bubbybird bought a Gaithers CD and I got a Bible with a bunch of archaeological notes and historical notes spread throught it.
Cool 8) I like archaeological type stuff.

Went to Hobby Lobby to get balsa and basswood, but instead bought some spruce sticks from back in the clearance section.
Had 40% off coupon from Hobby Lobby website - used it on some "Thergonomic" therapeutic hand support gloves which are way cheaper than similar thing sold medically for people with carpal tunnel, arthritis, or like I have, Reynauds Syndrome, which among other things causes my hands get very cold very fast.
Ah, here's something to show what they are:

Raynaud's Syndrome

What is Raynaud's syndrome?

This is a condition in which the smallest arteries that bring blood to the fingers or toes constrict (go into spasm) when exposed to cold or from an emotional upset. Smoking cigarettes or working with vibrating machinery also can cause these episodes. The small veins are usually open, so the blood drains out of the capillaries (KAP'ih-lair"eez). The result is that the fingers or toes become pale, cold and numb. If there's a spasm in the small veins and blood is trapped in the capillaries, the fingers or toes turn blue as the blood loses its oxygen.

People who have experienced what appears to be Raynaud's syndrome are encouraged to see their physician to confirm the diagnosis and, if necessary, to get proper treatment. Most people only need to make minor lifestyle changes. In some cases, however, vasodilators (medications that relax and widen blood vessels) may be prescribed to keep the blood vessels from constricting.

Raynaud's (ra-NOZ') syndrome is also sometimes called Raynaud's phenomenon or Raynaud's disease.

Somewhere in the middle of all this we went by pharmacy and by grocery store.

Wow, got a lot done.
And didn't wreck the van again :!:

I like this kind of day A LOT more than meltdown days :D 8)
