Maybe each aspie had different obssesions but especially until recently, I had an obssession with imagining cars driving by. I remember in my house and other familiar places, I would have a whole picture of roads and traffic lights and I would start to imagine cars and vehicles driving by. For example, at the bottom of the staircase, there would be an intersection with traffic lights before the "uphill".

Aside from familiar places, whenever I walked on some paved path, I would imagine myself sitting in a moving car and the pathway would be like a freeway for example. I would imagine other cars driving alongside the car I was in and I would even picture looking at the speedometer and make up a certain pattern of how fast one would be driving. Oh yeah, and the sofa in my living room would be a parking lot since I always sit there to "watch tv" (not always as you can see).

Oh my goodness!! ! Just as I was writing this I realized how creepy I am, or is this normal for aspies?

Back in my early childhood I had an obsession over these specific traffic lights:

After recalling my childhood I found that these were made by 3M, the same people behind scotch tape.

But yes I can sort of relate to that. Back then, whenever we were driving somewhere (even as close as the supermarket) I'd pretend we were an emergency vehicle and I would quietly (to the point they didn't notice) hum a siren.

Nowadays I don't do that anymore, but at some point I might buy an out-of-service 3M and restore it.

So you mean you imagine cars roaming inside the house or anywhere too?

I used to always have this obsession about buses when I was little but I didn't know why? I used to love watching the bus stop by at the bus station and would look at it for hours and hours :D

Wow I did this too! Especially in big buildings where you could have a decent amount in there.

I actually used to walk around when I was younger outside when it was raining and pretend to have a "wiper" in front of me. :D

Anyone else?

Back when I was younger I was obsessed with toy cars and road signs, I even got toy road signs. I also loved road maps (I still like them today :)) and I absolutely adored the yellow school bus! :D
