Because higher frequency light tends to act more like a particle than lower frequency light.

No. My guess would be that maybe, if you could dismantle Jupiter, convert it entirely into iron and dump the whole lot into the Sun's core it would mess things up a little, but I don't think it'd do anything so dramatic as to put the Sun out. And if you can dismantle Jupiter, you don't really need to worry about the state of the Sun.

auntblabby: I had a theory that homosexuality kicked in when populations got too large for the available resources. I got shouted at for voicing that. I can't find anything that supports this theory.

serious answer to the homosexual question. its a theory in evolution a "thinning" of the herd, an arguing point of people against homosexuals is that they cant breed, ergo no evolved traits passed on to the next generation. homosexuality is a genetic trigger to have you not breed

still not an answer to the original question- why does it persist down through the ages to the present? despite the fact that gay folk don't reproduce the old-fashioned way, why are there still homosexuals being born in the first place? there has to be a function to it, some purpose being fulfilled, e.g., are gayfolk helping to insure the survival of other groups? somebody knows the answer to this.

For the homosexuality question, I swear that it would just be a genetic mutation, if anything. No purpose. On top of that, these days since the 60s/70s/80s, lots of cultures have grown highly accepting and more socially "experimental." I do think that because of our change in culture, homosexuality is a "nurture" thing (I might even say homosexual tendencies, such as lisps and fashion sense, are man-made). On top of THAT, performing homosexual acts, basically, still "get the job done," which explains its continuation over a lengthy period of time. I don't have any official information to back up my theories, either, besides other theories, maybe. Overall, I believe it has no purpose at all, especially no evolutionary purpose.

My question is a stupid one: Why does 0 count as a number? (I understand to call 0 a digit. But a number used for counting?)
