Does anyone ever daydream about potential conversations you are going to have with people later that day or sometime in the near future?

I sometimes play out in my head what I am gonna say to my friend an hour later when I will meet up with him in class for example.

I do this literally all day long.

Me too. It makes up for the fact that I don't have anyone to speak to on a regular basis.

I tend to do this if I expect an argument or confrontation with someone, even if it is only by email.
However, very few such encounters turn out bad, so the lines that were buzzing around in my head become redundant anyway.

For sure I do this, although not to the degree I used to. I always thought this was 100% normal

i do this and i also tend to replay conversations and interactions in my mind. sometimes i find myself re-speaking my own parts of the conversation as i think (ruminate).

this can be a little embarrassing if i discover i am still in company (i can forget if i am in the "zone") or in new company, it's not so bad if i am by myself or in private.

Yup, I do it all the time. And it's usually about my special interests.

I do it sometimes, mainly when I'm imagining confronting someone or telling them something like when I told some of my friends I was bisexual. I imagined each and every one of them to get grossed out and leave. And now telling a girl whom I'm good friends I'm in love with her (not using those words of course). I'm imagining she'll hate me forever despite the fact she probably won't. I guess I'm just a pesimist when it comes to social situations

I have such daydreams all the time. I think they're normal.

I do that a lot. I'm always thinking, very intently. I'm not sure other people are like this. If I learn something I find interesting then I almost rehearse in my head what a conversation about it could be like.

I often run "simulations" and "scenarios" in my head but they do not always prepare me to deal with
other peoples spontaneity and unpredictability.

I do the same thing, then go try to have that conversation with someone and fail miserably. They always seem to have something else to talk about though they never seem to quite know what it is.

Yup. I must 'recite' the conversations. But they never come out the way I imagine them.
