There's a fairly popular stereotype that all Irish men love Guinness.

I also forgot to mention that many people like being around them and that they are very social.

My paternal grandfather was 100% Irish, and I certainly identify more with being Irish than any other ethnicity. I will corroborate a few of the common Irish stereotypes:

I've been a total drunk in the past. And most of the men in my family are as well.
I was raised Catholic.
I love potatoes.
My favorite color is green.

yep ;)

That they drink a lot. Actually most people i've met of Irish decent do tend to drink an aweful lot.

I'm of irish descent (black irish)... I'm adopted so I don't really know it all but I know I'm far more Irish than anything else. I love beer and whiskey and I drink a whole lot, and I am definitely that kind of sloppy/social/semi-belligerent drunk although I don't get in fights and stuff.

Green is my favorite color and I love me some corned beef but aside from that I don't know how well I fit the stereotypes.

Another one that no one's said yet is that they use lots of foul language. I certainly fit that one  but the one straight up Irish girl I've known had like a very proper manner of speaking but intermixed perfectly naturally with that the foulest mouth I ever heard. It was kind of awesome

Most of the Irish that I've met tend to actually hate people who can't handle their liquor. --The stereotype that the Irish drink a lot is misapplied, as the really violent drunks that I've encountered from that group of islands off the coast of Europe all happened to be English.

Irish men are alcoholics and beat their wives.

As an Irish person, I'll be the first to say there is a drink problem here. There is also a drink problem in England.

I don't deny that drinking problems exist in Ireland, however the English that I've seen have been much worse than the Irish in comparison.
