When those type of companies call, ask them to put you on DO NOT CALL list. You can also register your phone number here.

https://donotcall.gov/

That website doesn't stop calls from charities or political offices. It's annoying around NOV when politicians call and most of the time it's computerized and you can't tell them to put you on do not call list. Whichever credit card company is calling you, you can also find their website and email their customer service to stop calling. But that website should help if you are getting tons of unwanted calls.

Thinks I forgot about the do not call list. I'm curious if they'd still call if there was a problem with my card. (That or they'd send me a letter) but the whole identity theft stuff IS GETTING OLD SHEESH!

Credit card companies have called to ask for transactions that are questionable, especially if it's a huge amount.

Those companies keep calling me, and I keep getting credit cards in the mail. I just throw them out. I don't want or need a credit card.

There should be a number in the envelop that you can call to ask them to stop sending any credit card offers. I remember in community college people would be in the cafeteria with a clipboard in hand asking college students to sign up for credit cards. So annoying!
