I personally wouldn't want my parents browsing here because I don't want them seeing what I write and what I say about them.
I would hate to censor myself.

I wouldn't want my parents on here, either. My reasons are very similar.

My mother died a year ago and my father would likely not be interested, but while wondering whether my daughters and/or others who know I am here might come here, I often try to think carefully before posting. My mother died before I had become aware of my self-diagnosed AS/HFA, so I never had an opportunity to talk with her about it. I have since told my father, and I have done my best to be sure he knows I do not hate him. In the past, I had blamed him for many of my difficulties in life.

I don't like my mum looking at what I write anywhere really. I think it's normal to want your family communications to be seperate from friends anyway, and I'm sure my mum agrees too come to think of it.

No. Thankfully neither of them can use the internet properly.

I gave mine the name of the site, I don't know whether they've been here or not. I don't mind if they do. I don't have many secrets. :)

I actually write so that if any of my family members do see my posts, they can know what I think and how I perceive their baffling behavior. Hopefully, it will get them to understand me a bit more.
I hardly censor what I write because it is the TRUTH as I see it. That truth may, of course, be one-sided, but it's the truth nonetheless.

That being said, I doubt any of my family reads this because I've never told them about this site, they don't know my user name, and most of my family is computer-illiterate.

Mine don't know my user name either but it wouldn't be hard to figure out here which is me. My user name says it all. And the avatar and the signature, the custom title.

I'm a bit torn on this, actually. I don't want them to see what I say, however, it would be the only way I could communicate with them well, as they never listen to me when I try to tell them something.

I have told them about WP, and while I doubt they will visit (not that 'net savvy), I would not mind if they did so. My father was the first person to suspect I have AS and my mother was the person who urged me to talk to my therapist and get a diagnosis. They are both people who appreciate differences in the world, especially among people. I think they would be fascinated by this site and the views and perceptions expressed here. Perhaps it would even help them understand even further what it is like to be an Aspie...it's awfully hard to explain to NTs, isn't it?

The stuff in the Adult forum is the only stuff I post that they don't already know about.

Noooo.. I don't want anyone I know to see me on here. I'd leave. (But if they get on here, I don't know if they'd be able to tell this was me.)

No, for a couple reasons:

1. My family is unaware that I have AS.
2. I am more open in the anonymity of the internet than I am with my family. I am overly concerned with their opinions and would be hesitant to post many things for fear of offending them.

My parents would probably not be interested in joining this forum. They have better things to do than to talk with people online about AS.

they would be interested to see my posts i'm sure. they respect my privacy though.
