Today Borders UK shut their doors for the last time. I was very upset about this, :( along with a lot of other people around the UK. So I made a video for a tribute to the store.

yes, my local Borders bookstore just closed down, here in the US :( I did my tribute to them by going and buying a bunch of books that were on sale :D.
Luckily I still have Barnes & Noble bookstore to go to (were I end up paying $10 for a coffee)

But even better then B&N (because FREE is always better), we still got Scribd :D

Borders closest to me closed several years ago. Next nearest store is about 10 miles away. We do have a B&N in town still.

The historic Elliott Bay Book Co is moving into a smaller location somewhere uptown. What a pity. They've been around forever and now they can no longer afford to pay their downtown lease.

Laredo TX is a town of 1/4 million people and yet they have no bookstores. None. The closest one is in San Antonio 150 miles away. Yikes!

Same here. :D I got a lot of Simpsons books for a good bargain during their closing down sale. One one of the books I even wrote inside "In Memory of Borders." :)
