Hey guys long time no chat! Anyway this topic is about Marvel Comic's upcoming Heroic Age. But before that, let's look back and comic book history for Marvel:-
Comic book history entered the Golden Age when superheroes first came about during the 30s and 40s. Back then, Marvel first debutted as Timely Comics with widely-known superheroes like Captain America and his then-sidekick Bucky, Namor the Sub-Mariner, the original cyborg Human Torch before the Fantastic Four and his sidekick Toro and many others fighting in World War II.
Then came the Silver Age. Back then Timely Comics renamed themselves as Marvel Comics. It was also the period that spawned the iconic Marvel superheroes we know of today. This included Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Thor, X-Men and many more. It was also during this period where the Avengers were first formed due to some miscalculations on Loki's part. The team then had Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Ant-Man and Wasp. During the first few issues, Hulk left the team and Ant-Man became Giant-Man. During one of their early adventures, they came into conflict with the returning Namor and this resulted the discovery of Captain America being frozen and alive. Eventually Captain America joined the Avengers and that's when the story truly begun.
Then came the Bronze Age. This was during a time where comic stories became darker, adding real-world elements like drug abuse, alcoholism and other topics.
Then came our era, the Modern Age. Comic book stories became darker, edgier and more modernised and characters were given the modernised looks they have today.
Now in 2010 comes a new era for comic book history then comic book fans like some of us will know: the Heroic Age. The Heroic Age will be a period where stories will be about heroism and how heroes will handle the most vile of villains. It will have the edge from the Modern Age but also the adrenalin rush from the older eras. This will also mark the end of ALL current Avenger teams. That means no more New Avengers, Mighty Avengers and Dark Avengers and other Avenger-like teams (except for maybe Young Avengers or Pet Avengers). Instead for the Heroic Age we'll be getting something much better: THE ORIGINAL Avengers, back from their disbanding at Avengers Disassembled!! ! Anyway Marvel has been giving out promotional pics as to this team's new lineup, but only some have been confirmed.
