I've learned that not all NTs are mean and not all aspies are nice. I've also learned that I can go from being myself, to being a punker after a couple of sexual assaults, back to being myself again, and that time really does heal, in that manner. I've also learned that each person with AS is as unique as their own fingerprints. I've also learned not to hurt other people, in a purposeful manner. I've learned that we all have differences, and we must celebrate them. I've also learned that I'm the same, today as I was, on the day that I've joined. I am actually the same in personality and interests, as I was on the day that I've joined. I didn't think that would have been possible, two years ago. I've also learned to think, before I post, and that we're all in this, together. The most important thing that I've learned, is that there's good and bad in everyone, wherever I go, whether offline, or on WP. What did you learn from being a WP member?

-Some members here have issues, some won't want to listen or understand you
-I am not the only borspie here or the only one who doesn't feel like they fit in with other apsies
-I am not the only aspie who has doubt their condition
-Many aspies get the "You don't have AS." Even people who are diagnosed as autistic get the same
-I am very lucky to have parents who loved me and understood me while others here had parents who didn't seem to understand them
-Some aspies like to hold grudges and are still mad at their parents for not understanding them when they were kids
-Some aspies are still mad at their childhood bullies and are not willing to let it go and move on and treat them as different people when they run into them as adults
-Some aspies are manipulative
-Aspies can be just as bad as anyone else
-Lot of aspies here don't like the NT bashing. The bashers just stand out more
-There are aspies who do not like repetitive stuff and get tired of their routines
-Even aspies get tired of hearing the same things over and over so you will get the same crap from them NTs have given you
-Some aspies have high sex drives and are into sex
-Some like having sex with no clothes on and like the feeling of the bare skin or don't mind it
-Lot of aspies don't have my learning difficulties so they were able to go to college
-Do not ask to be a mod here
-If you feel you have been banned unfairly, do not get nasty to Alex or curse at him or tell him to grow up or tell him you hope this place slowly dies. Do not come back here and break the rules just to get back at the mod. That just tells them that's why you were banned in the first place. Even Alex says the same.
-Cross posting counts as spam
-Talking about your issues here you had at another forum and posting links here and saying the forum name can cause drama between to places. People can join just to fight than being a member. (I actually learned that at Aspergic but it helped explain why Alex would have this rule. One person joined there just to troll me about my issues).
-There are jerks everywhere
-The chat room is filled with trolls

Things I learned from being a WPer:

I can talk about my interests as much as I want to here, and it doesn't really bother anyone (I don't think?)
From the adult forum - WPers tend to be fetishists of some kind
WPers also tend to be agnostic/atheist, so it's not a good idea to bring up Christianity, much less Catholicism
Don't make a big deal about getting a new special interest unless you're absolutely certain it's going to stick

And last but not least...

WP is one of the friendliest, intelligent and well-spoken communities on the net! :)

-there are many people out there who have similar issues as me
-some aspies can be really smart
-many aspies use the Internet and other forms of communication to express themselves
-many aspies have lots of "common knowledge" about stuff while I mostly know the academic stuff that is taught to me in class
