I design and build houses in second life, and I am getting real good at it, I know its not like being an
architect in the real world but it really allows you to open your mind on different design concepts

I like boxy, black and white furniture from Ikea, wooden floors, and cool-looking appliances. I like artsy with class.

Of course the walls will look like a piano, but it's all good.

I love home design. On the nights that I'm at home, I like to watch all the different home design shows on the channels that I can get them on. Fix This Home and Sell It is my all time favourite.

Yes, I have loved house plans since I was a child. I used to draw my own designs. I have collected so many house plan books that they are everywhere. I used to take house plan books on dates with my wife to be when I was in high school and college. I have gotten the blueprints for the houses I was obsessed with. I love them.

if i had the wherewithal to design my own house, it would be a mix of different themes in different rooms- one room might be like a church with cathetral ceilings, dark wood paneling and stained glass windows, with an ambient acoustic environment- that would be my music room.
another room might be quasi-medieval, with earthen-looking walls and torches hanging high on the sides, and dark lighting- sorta cave'y.
yet another room might be high-tech, as in the bridge of the star ship enterprise.
another room would be all flat black, from floor to ceiling, no windows, and fluorescent stars on the ceiling and fluorescent clouds on the floor and walls, illuminated by UV light.
still another room would be all white, with huge bay windows and scan-design furnishings.

i would have a second house carved out of a mountain-face cave, that would overlook a body of water in a valley. the interior scheme would be late flintstones.

a third house would be ala "the jetsons" - like living in the stratosphere tower lounge, with robots and maybe a flying saucer moored on the railing.

as a publicity stunt, fox built a real replica of the simpsons house [complete inside and out], which they gave away in a contest. the unimaginative dolts who won it promptly remade it into a conventional house. "no accounting for taste."

The Jetsons house idea sounds great.

Yeah, I spend a lot of time daydreaming about my 'ultimate house.' It would be based on a traditional Roman villa with a massive skylit atrium at it's center.

On a more realistic note, I really love Art Deco as well and plan to fill my new house with that style furniture... if the deal ever closes!

....damn short sales. :x

Love home design and interior decroating. Would love to build a sustainable solar powered papercrete or cob house someday with curving organic walls like a hobbit home someday.

Have just moved into new house (we'd been living in our motorhome) and am having fun decorating it and planning my first garden.
