After a long hiatus and some major RL issues - like a rebound of a relationship that didn't work out - I actually have decided to come back for a little bit.

Anyway, onto other discussions - what for you would be a Happy Place and what for you would be a Black Bug Room, according to their definitions on TVTropes?

For me, the Happy Place has changed recently. It is now a place looking a lot like an idealised Tokyo (yes, I am once again a Nipponophile at least mildly) and it has a lot of happy-sounding J-Pop blaring in it.

Conversely, my Black Bug Room is looking a lot like a mishmash of Australian stereotypes, inclement weather, and Dutch windmills and other Dutch stuff. (Yes, I'm none too keen on Dutchies, considering that I once had an Aspergian obsession with the subject that wound up making me look bad I think it's understandable).

as far as i can tell, the happy place would be heaven, or short of that, an idealized earth.
the black bug room would be hell on earth, iow the place that presently exists.
