I would totally be that spinster cat lady with a dozen felines if my mom and my apartment building would allow it, but alas I have to make due with my 2 little furballs whom I treat as my babies. Expensive babies they are too. In the last year alone I've spent nearly 2k on their medical bills. They're getting old *sniff* Ones got diabetes, and may be going blind, the other has authritis

I could see myself being an old spinster with a dozen cats too. I've loved cats all my life. Sadly though, once my current cat dies, my mom won't allow me to have any more pets. My current cat is a real pain in the butt. She's old, 8 or 9 years. She's got a terrible temper and has attacked everyone in the house numerous times, sometimes without warning. She's pretty much going blind, has breathing problems and sometimes literally gets crap stuck to her fur (she's a longhair). It makes me furious when that happens and I see her lying on my bed, because I have to wash everything. I actually wish I could get rid of her because I get so angry at being attacked and having to wash my sheets so often, but my brother is extremely protective of her and considers her his "princess". What's particularly BS about that is that he never takes care of her. Ever. And yet we have to keep her around or he'll flip.
