URGENT Help please with NPD boss

I have a supervisor who almost definately has NPD. He persistantly bullies me and I've just had enough. He manipulates situations to get what he wants and he gets off with anything. Anybody know a lot about NPD that can help me with how to deal with him? I feel like killing him and I don't want to get myself in trouble.

Further info - i have just come back from holiday and he is now on holiday. He is now attacking me by bad mouthing me when I'm not there for something I did when he wasn't there (yes, we get too much holidays in the NHS). And he is telling this colleague of mine I won't be doing something I'm entitled to (learning) and has gone to his boss with made up excuses for it. Basically, it's all going to kick off next week when he comes back and I don't know if I should complain about him or how I should approach the confontation with him. The thing is, the managers here seem to be in support of him because he can talk his way out of things. I'm going to leave the job too.

I hope someone has some advice!

I can't really help you with that one. I have an NPD supervisor, who enjoys doing the same thing to me and the other employees that I work with. Now she wants me back on the trash crew, because she "misses me".

I found this website to be quite helpful, because it explains the behaviour of narcissists.

The no 1 rule though is avoid your boss as best you can. When he speaks listen, and never try to correct them. And finally, try not to let them get on your nerves. Just ignoring them is the best. Good luck.

Thanks guys. It's really good to get advice and know others have to deal with it too.

I've decided to leave my job because of it. Something I hate having to do, but it's gone too far. I'll really use this advice though for coping during working my notice, as it's not going to be an easy time!

Hahaha. It's ok, it's a terrible job anyway and I have recently concluded that there are no opportunities within the organisation for me whatsoever. I feel really bad about getting another job, though. I wish I knew what I would be good at. Then there's horrible interviews. And working out what to do socially once I start a job.

A very small part of me thinks that I should have some sympathy for him because of a disorder. Damn, he's messed me up even more.
