Seriously, why does everyone hate them so much? They're not even ugly, unlike crocs.

Hm. Maybe because they don't have much shaping - they're very flat. I can always tell when the person behind me is wearing them because they always seem to scuff or drag a little. And I agree about crocs. They are very ugly. My husband said he'd divorce me if I ever wore them. When I'm at my mom's I sneak and put some big pink ones on my feet and run around - I like the ducky feeling. :jester:

Uggs are Uggly, which is why I don't like them. The flatness to the shape just makes them so unattractive to me.

In my opinion, both are ugly, but uggs are warm and comfy, so I wear them in the winter (not for fashion)
Same with crocs, I go out near my summer house to this squelchy mud/water and I can't go barefoot b/c of shells and I can't wear flip-flops because I keep losing them in the mud so I wear crocs because they stay on my feet better

Uggs are called uggs because they are indeed ugly. I cannot understand why people wear them in triple digit weather here in California.

Triple digit is still kind of cold, if it's below 110.

I think they're hideous and the only reason why most people wear them is because they've been told its fashionable. (wearing them as legitimate winter boots is the possible exception)

When I was growing up in Australia in the 80s, everyone had a pair of ugg boots but you only ever wore them in the house like slippers in the middle of winter. It was really dorky to wear them in public.

Now it appears they are the height of fashion, especially in the US and everyone wears them. I look at them and think what on earth are you doing wearing them out in public?? They are terribly ugly, but they do keep your feet nice and warm. I still have the same pair I have had since I was about 14.

I didn't even know that people hated them so much.

My mum's friend has an obsession with ugg boots and wears them almost everyday, I thought they were funny looking & unique but not ugly.
