When did he stop producing? I think there's a whole generation that hasn't encountered the sublime ridiculousness.

I enjoy Far Side, but I'm not a fan of the strict copyright policies. Ever notice how hard it is to find Far Side cartoons online?

I just went to Google images and typed in The Far Side. There's pages of them.

This thread is great... I am pleased to see it. I like Gary Larson... always have. I used to buy my father a Far Side calendar every year. I always had a thing for the cows. I tried to find the rebellious young calf Matthew or the one with Bessy milking herself... heh. I could not find them though. So I will settle for the floating head of death.

Thanks for posting this! I thought I had read every Gary Larson cartoon! I must have a hole in my collection. I love his cartoons that show how the downtrodden sometimes get justice.
