this was not recent, but it was one of the funniest things i ever saw.
there was a 7 person pile up at north sydney train station once.
everyone was walking rapidly and closely behind every one else i suppose, and a person tripped over a "slippery when wet" sign on the polished granite floor. about 7 people cascaded into the pile of tripped up people.
people in business suits and formal dresses were intermingled and dirty on the floor.
when i saw the sign that he knocked over i almost suffocated because i could not choose when to breath during my paroxysm of laughter.

A moment ago, when I saw the photos showing the flood in my town and in one of them there was that guy carrying his dog. Someone expressed his respect for the man saving his pet and someone else (a Chinese cuisine lover? 
) replied: "No, it was just like that his fridge got flooded so he needed something to eat."

Jeff Foxworthy mentioned that in a joke about his wife being from Louisiana. I live in Louisiana & stupidity like that is not uncommon here 
I got a survey from Comedy Central last nite & watched a pilot of some talk show thin called "Live Sex". I was lathing so hard I had root-beer come out my nose
