What's the last weirdest dream you had?

I dreamt that I was driving down I-5 through California, to go to cosmetology school in some city called Escondido. I noticed that on the side of the interstate there were bits of terraced landscaping and on one spot there was crystal-clear blue pools of water in concrete basins, and I just had at that moment an intense desire to get off the interstate and drive on over there, strip off all my clothes and hop in one of those pools. so I did just that, the water was lukewarm which felt good in the balmy California sun-infused air. in the water I looked down over the terraces below me and onto the interstate I was just driving on a few minutes before. then without drying off and just throwing on shorts I clambered out of the pool, got back in the car and drove to a hotel, and when I checked in and entered my room I noticed that It had not been vacated by several previous occupants, all of whose stuff was cluttering every horizontal space. I saw myself in the bathroom mirror and noticed my hair was all askew from being wet and not dried/combed, and I reached in my pocket for a comb only to notice there was none to be had, and I looked down at the cluttered bathroom sink area and saw amidst the various bottles of shampoo and hair dryers and such, several toothbrushes, all of which appeared to be used and not washed afterwards, so I chose the lease nasty one which appeared to be at least dry, washed it off and used it to comb my hair. it was hot in there so I turned on the A/C then I went into the main room and noticed several other guests sitting on the couch and chairs. there was one young woman with a weird name that doesn't quite translate into waking life, something akin to "pookibota" or something like that. we discussed what we wanted to accomplish in our lives, then she went someplace along with one other guest. and then I was alone in the hotel room for a minute until the hotel manager just barged in on me, and brusquely told me that hotel management determined that my excessive use of the A/C rendered this unit unprofitable for today, so they shut off the electricity for this room and then he told me "I gotta charge you a couple hundred $$$ more." then he walked out, and I awoke from this strange dream.

Same here. It's very odd. Like perhaps our subconscious really is just... another dimension. We live two lives perhaps.

I know this was a page or two ago, but I just wanted to thank you auntblabby for the dream interpretations; I agree with Mooms, that was a very good interpretation and I think it does hit on some things my subconscious was trying to say to me.

Keep up the good work, it would be fun for me to take it a step further and try to tie the symbolism auntblabby provided to the actual things in life that I think are responsible for it. I shall ponder over that too. And Mooms, I hope you aren't too muddled or disturbed by yours, I've had mysterious spider-dreams too before. Haven't for a while though.

i dreamt i was in lebanon trying to find helem's centre on wednesday in time for the meeting this week for IDAHOT and i was trying to catch the number 15 bus to mar mikhael and then the 4 bus to hamra, or maybe it was the number 2 bus from antelias to sanayeh. i don't recall. i was so desperate to go there and everywhere i went seemed familiar and it felt so urgent, so home sick. before that i was doing student activist stuff and after it i was looking for a woman i was sleeping with by flying and she was sleeping with my partner too.

I woke up laughing. My wife asked,"what are you laughing about?" I answered, " I just told myself a joke I have never heard before."
In the dream I was watching TV. The announcer announced, "what would Jesus do?" The screen became filled with Jesus face. He then took a drag on a cig. The announcer said," Jesus would smoke camels"!
I think my subconscious was telling me that spirituality has been co-opted by commercialism.
That dream also showed me that multiple personality disorder exists in all of us. Also that there is nothing intrinsically illogical about the trinity. After all, knowledge is one and yet still divided by signifier and signified.
By the way, I am not Catholic. Just trying to understand the infinite.

I dreamt I had succesfully completed a portfolio of twenty or so paintings. A gallery in Colorado (for some reason) was going to show them and I was very happy about the prospect of making some money. The subject matter was quite dark and abstract but the gallery owner liked the art anyway. When I woke up, I remembered only one painting.

Last night I had a dream about playing chess on a train, having just saved Canada from being blown up. I don't remember much else about it except that it was very boring, but later that night I had another dream where one of my friends had to stay for seven hours after school because she'd been smuggling kittens into high security prisons. I offered to take over from her, but the kittens kept escaping by changing into guinea pigs when I touched them. It was surprisingly stressful.

Of course she denied everything when I saw her in school. But apparently I had appeared in one of her dreams. We were in London, 20 years in the future, and she was furious with me because I'd managed to take thousands of pounds out of her bank account. Funnily enough, I was holding a kitten (I think this was because of a conversation about static electricity and fluffy kittens). Then we had to run away from something, and I ended up killing James Bond with poisoned marzipan while she ordered fish and chips. I wish I'd had this dream.

I dreamt I was back in 1983, and I was a go-fer working in the white house [!] and president reagan [who addressed me as "my sleek bruce"] send me into a supply room to obtain a souvenir BATF [Bureau of Alcohol-Tobacco & Firearms] uniform cap, and present it to bob hope [the late comedian] who was sitting in this reception room packed with a bunch of old celebrities such as jimmy stewart and such- I saw a very senescent-appearing bob hope sitting in a chair opposite a large TV set, and as I was told by POTUS, I put the hat on mr. hope's head, and he turned around and stared blankly at me, then turned back towards the tv set.

Just a little bit ago, I was dreaming I was back in school, except it was high school and college combined, and it was Halloween. They were passing out free toys and candy, and I was like, "What's this? Christmas?" so I didn't accept any. Then class turned out to be an hour of watching a movie that had nothing to do with anything, so I decided to skip, since I wasn't feeling well anyway.

I tried to go up to my dorm room, but the elevator took me to a floor that didn't exist, so I walked around it, but there were no people there. So I went back down and realized I needed to use the bathroom.

I started looking around for a bathroom, but all the toilets in the men's bathrooms had been clogged. I decided to find a woman's bathroom with no one in it to use, so I went downstairs to one that was really fancy and had showers and stuff, but there was a janitor's closet that had a robot in it for some reason. Then a girl came in while I was in a toilet stall and asked where her robot was, and I told her it was in the closet, so they freaked out that I was in there.

Then I woke up.

Back when I was on sleeping pills, I dreamt that I was sailing the flying dutchman over seas of lava in Hell. I managed to steer clear of the ridges and shores just fine, but then I collided with a large, Chinese dragon.

I dreamt I was in England, and I was staying in some strange hotel which was really an English army barracks, and I walked down red-carpeted hallways with white walled hallways devoid of décor. I kept trying to get to my room but I always was getting interrupted by further explorations down further hallways. btw, a lot of the details have evaporated, what you are seeing here is what I can remember of the outlines of the dream. anyways, finally I got to my room and I find that the door is ajar, I walk in and find 3 English army privates in plain clothes [no uniforms] doing pushups on the floor of my room, between the beds. as soon as they saw me they got up, all shaky and sweaty after doing many many pushups, and told me their sergeants told them they had to do pushups because they were in my room, as punishment. I told them please don't do any such on my account, please rest up and get something to drink. then I awoke.

I dreamt that I was in my small yahoo town [near where I live in waking life] and I encountered at the local walmart some nasty deliverance-style yahoos who took an immediate umbrage at my physical presence, and one short guy wearing all black clothing yanked a safety pin out of my hip and used it to turn a can of black spray paint into a bomb, which they threatened to blow me up with. then I awoke all shook up.

Dreams can be so real! I drempt that I was totally in love with a woman. The dream supplied me with details! I "remembered" dating her in high school etc. Somehow, I knew I was dreaming (lucid dreaming?) and told her that even tho she was my soul mate, I would never see her again. As I gradually awoke I remember a feeling of deep sadness. As she disappeared into the mist.

I joined the Navy. I was worried I'd miss the bus, and also about running. When I arrived at training, lots of people I knew we're there and we just sat around and talked. Uniforms appeared individually gift wrapped along with flower bouquets. The senior officers just ignored us.

I think that was a three parter. I also had a dream that I stumbled across an old friend who was singing over a gas station loudspeaker. Must have been the late night fajitas....
