this is in NO way in any shape or form meant to intimidate NTs on this site! as a matter of fact i voted forrhe 1st option. yes, but there should be a discussion for diagnosed aspies only. in my belief there should always be two perspectives of a story, so yes there should be NTs on here to give input on topics. but sometimes people with aspergers need to just vent and feel more secure in a place where the support is coming from people thinking about experience.

No restrictions is my vote. Rules should apply to all members, to anyone involved with, interested in, or affected by an ASD. My two bits.

I think that they do, and I don't wish to exclude them, because I know how it feels to be excluded.

It's not an aspie only club here... Of course they can be here. Whether they understand us or not is their problem. :)

Yes, they do. I have absolutely nothing against NTs who are genuinely interested in autism and trying to understand people on the spectrum. Ignorant NTs, however, is a different matter altogether. These people most likely wouldn't be on WP in first place.

As someone said earlier, it's sort of a moot point, since you can't make people tell the truth.

But really, being insular isn't going to do us any good as a community. Even if we don't like NTs, we need to understand them. They rule the world.

So I said yes, with no restrictions.

I don't see any problem with NTs being here, or anyone for that matter. If they want to learn about ASDs or want to learn more about a loved one or whatever that's fine with me. They could give us some good advice on the "social skills and making friends" part of the forum.

Yes, everyone should be aloud, I don't like how people just group autistics into one and the NTs into another, it just doesn't make any sense imo.

We are all humans in there and they should all be treated equally that we all should belong in the world regardless if they are an aspie or not.

I feel they should be welcome on here, because if they're on here, it's likely because they know someone with AS and want to learn as much as they can.

I think they should be allowed on, because an NT who is visiting us here is obviously someone who is interested in or cares about autistic issues... perhaps a parent or spouse, or a professional. Even just someone who is interested to learn more. Such people can only enrich the community, and I hope we enrich them.

The more NT posters who interact and learn about those of us on the autism spectrum, the more information they will spread to others, this is a good thing.

It is completely ridiculous that someone has voted anything but the first option... This site isn't meant to be an exclusive community, it's a support site.
