Well, there are those of us who live outside of the population centers. But anyways, what the point of this thread is to be able to post photography of nature areas around where you live. Id suggest a ruling of within 10 miles of ya if you are gonna post pictures. As for the pictures themselves, they dont have to be self-taken, so feel free to post them from around the web.

as for my pics, there are all basically walking distance. So its practically my back yard. (all pics are within 5 miles of me)

Yes, the last pic, lets just say 50+ acres of nothing but boulders that go around 200 feet into the ground. Thats an Ice Age Relic for ya.

I live close to sea, Tricity Landscape Park, Kashubian Landscape Park and Darżlubska (read: darzhloobskah) Forest. We have many beautiful areas. You can watch some of them on my Picasa:

Summer
Winter
Sztobazi (Schtobasee)
Forest and Sea (winter)

I have more photos, maybe I'll upload them later :D

Reminds me of back when I lived in Bremerhaven. I was only 5-6 back then though, so I dont remember mu8ch other than a museum with a German U-boat you can tour, which was like right on the beach.

Love the galleries. Ill prolly dig up more photos of my area as well. Plenty of waterfalls round here but I can only find pics of them under low water flow :/

yeah, I need to get more shots of the river before whitewater season goes full swing. Lets just say I can hear the rafters from my house. and at any moment you can usually spot like 50+ rafts and kayaks.

Funny that it is classified as a class III at the stretch near where I am at. Funny things happen when the river is high though. After particularly nasty storms I know some people that will go 'surfing' down the highly increased water flow. It also has, for some reason, been called the western style river of the eastern us. Probably because of the many remote areas. Really good fishing as well, especially now since they are trying to get the shad populations to come back.

Well, there are seals from Hel (one L) in the photos, not U-boots
But there is the wreck of MS Wilhelm Gustloff not so far away.
