I'm talking about the size of bottles you find at the register in a grocery store/most commonly bought size in a gas station. Forget about the known health risks of the plastic bottles, I mean the way that the bottles affect the quality of their contents.
If you read the side of the label on a bottle of Jack Daniel's whiskey, "It's what the whiskey experiences inside the barrel, etc." I can definitely associate that with soda.
Soda that you drink out of a cold glass bottle tastes a lot better. I think the plastic does something to the soda. Soda in plastic bottles also goes flat a lot quicker. If I grab a bottle of root beer or Dr. Pepper, usually its flat within minutes even if I keep the cap on after opening it. It does this almost every time. *facepalm* Even soda from an open can will last much, much longer than from plastic bottle with a cap.
