There is a section in the start meny and controls where you can change the backgrounds and sounds. Not quite shure what it's exactly called in English, but it might work. Tryed restarting the computer? Win+P?

nevermind, i just looked it up online, and apparently with win7, it's simply impossible to change the background. It was designed that way.
i think it's BS :x

idk whether you're agreeing with me or if you're contradicting

but on win7 starter edition at least, it honestly can't be changed.
some kind of evil microsoft marketing tactic to make people want to buy an upgrade apparently :? .

Ah... .here's a thing you didn't know about starters edition, you CAN'T change backgrounds I'm afraid, you have to have at least basic to be able to change backgrounds.

Sorry to break the news.

Yay Microsoft!

This is exactly the kind of crap that convinced me to permanently abandon Windows upgrades entirely. When I could no longer get a machine with XP, I switched to Mac. Still running five computers with XP on them, and three of those are Macs that run better and far faster than either of the PC's!

MS can do whatever they want from here on in as far as I'm concerned.
