I sometimes start speaking in an Indian accent for fun when I get bored of reading things and so I read outloud in an accent.

Yes. I enjoy speaking in Southern and British accents. Those are the best accents I can mimic.

I like to try to speak, with a Texas drawl, sometimes. I like the sound of that accent.

How good are you at it? I actually live in Texas, but I don't really speak with a drawl. That's because I live in one of the more urban areas of Texas. You'll find more people with Texas drawls in the more rural areas.

I sure do & I receive some fairly odd looks from colleagues. People who know me well enough are used to it. Students I support think it's funny. It does, sometimes, lighten the mood.

My accent doesn't change and it will never will and I only try and do accents if requested, I apparently do a very good Scottish accent. :D

I also have the silent accent, were I am silent, obviously not an accent then hehe!! !! :D

My voice is too monotone for me to be able to mimic accents. Although, sometimes I would unwittingly have a Latin American accent at times.

A strange thing happens with my accent. When I sing I try very hard to use my own voice and delivery (and not just mimic whoever else I've heard singing) and my singing voice is a much broader North-East accent than my speaking voice.

i lack the genes that code for ability to accent my speech. but if i could do so, it would be a good, impenetrably thick scotch burr. or africaans, so distinguished-sounding. the late comic ernie kovacs did a novelty record called "hot cakes and sausage" where he sang a silly little ditty using several different accents, that always puts a smile on my face. the late dialect humorist harry stewart, did several records in either his nordic persona named "Yorgi Yorgesson" or his asian persona, "Hari Kari," that i have in my collection because they are a scream. i would love to be able to sound funny as he sounded.

I actually have a strange natural affinity for slipping into accents without noticing. It has lead to some confusion at the local Irish pub I attend on occasion so I have to focus and make sure I don't do it now.

I developed what is often described as a 'flat' English accent out of necessity, working with people from all over the world.

That aside, my accent often changes with the people I happen to be speaking with.

Just call me Zelig.

I rarely try to do full blown accents. But my choice of words can be unusual at times and I've been known to immitate movie characters. People have told me to stop talking and sounding like Yoda
