I don't get the whole thing about trans-fat being super horrible. I admit that i don't know that much about fat... But shouldn't regular saturated fat be just as bad for you as trans fat?...

Trans fat is found in processed foods and isn´t good for you. Products can even say Trans Fat: 0 as long as it's under a certain limit. Anything with "partially hydrogenated" in the ingredients list probably has hidden trans fat. Some animal products have trans fat in them naturally, but I think it is debatable if this is bad for you.

Key: Mostly avoid it.

the question is if you want to die of heart disease at 50 or not. I think dying of a health condition related to excess eating is ghastly.

Don't forget the mono/di glycerides pseudonym. They've been calling it that a lot more often lately, as a lot of people have caught on.

It's illegal in Holland. That alone should tell you something.

I don't even know what trans fat is. I clicked this thread under the assumption that it was about something related to transexuals or car transmissions. I had my amusement-monocle ready and everything. :(
