Do you not like to be bothered some times?

I tend to when people call or come into my room I quickly say what's up or what do you need since I'm busy usually watching something. My family takes these comments as "rude" but I have the view when I'm busy I'm BUSY! I don't see it as rude. If I'm busy I'm busy IMO. So some times I don't like being bothered. Is anyone else like this?

I hate being "bothered" anytime I am not expecting it, whether I'm busy or not.

I'm always like that :) It's just that sometimes I don't mind certain people bothering me. A select few... that has been reduced to one because so many people have moved.. but anyway. Most of the time I'm "busy." (With my thoughts or a book)

I value my privacy. I hate it when people come into my room without my prior knowledge. Even though I'm not doing anything other than playing around on my computer or watching television, it's still very annoying.

Whenever people come into my room while I'm on the computer, it takes a lot of willpower for me not to snap at them. My brother always asks "what's wrong?" whenever he comes in for a turn on the computer, because he can tell that I'm clearly upset. I'm surprised that he still hasn't put two-and-two together and figured out that he's the one making me angry by interrupting me, but then again, I shouldn't be surprised since we suspect him of having AS.

When I was young I would go out into the world and socialize

Then I would feel that I needed to spend a month or two to recharge my batteries.

So for a month or two I would just want to read books and think.

... Me too. Fortunately I live alone and can choose to answer the phone door bell etc. Usually I do not). At work people too know that I prefer solitude and silence so leave me alone and don't comment when I leave my desk when it does get noisy.

Sadly, my inability to communicate with my parents and siblings is not understood nearly so well and I've yet to solve that problem (they don't know about my AS!).

I do the exact thing with my family.
