You would have loved my mother's cooking. She cooked meat until it was tough and dried out. She would cook veggies in a pot with water until they were a disgusting mushy mess. She was only good at cooking starches, like rice and potatoes. My mother was also over fond of making fried foods, and used to use those big cans of pasty, white Crisco. Needless to say, I wasn't fond of her cooking, and hate most veggies to this day, unless they are eaten raw. I prefer meat that is medium well done, to well done, but not tough and dried out. Unfortunately, you won't be able to try my mother's cooking, as she passed away about 8 years ago.
One time, after we had lived in a particular house many years, my father wanted to repaint the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Before he could start painting, he had to thoroughly scrub all of the cooking oil residue off of the walls and ceilings of all three rooms! Years later, one of my brother's had fried up some sea bass that we were trying. My mother went to the pan to put a portion on her plate, and instead of taking the meat, she took a big piece of fat. Fortunately I saw what she was doing, and made her take the fish meat instead.
I do occasionally over cook my foods, but don't enjoy them that way. However, I usually eat the mistakes, rather than waste the food. The one thing I was always burning was grilled cheese sandwiches. Now, I toast the bread first, put the cheese on it, put it in the microwave for a short time, flip it and nuke for another short time, and then have an unburnt sandwich. You don't put butter or oil on the out side of the bread for this, so it doesn't taste quite as good, but it is less fatty this way.--And who doesn't like cheese sandwiches? I also like cold cheese sandwiches.
I am glad you like your over cooked meats. Better you than me. Enjoy!
