Are you maybe a twin or do you have any twin pairs in your family? Or maybe triplets (though those are much more rare)? Are they mono- or dizigotic?

In my family two pairs of twins happened to be born: one in my grandma's generation and these were her older siblings: a girl who died at the age of barely a few months because she was given cow's milk for her mom had no milk in her breasts and her male twin who outlived her only by a dozen or so years and died of tuberculosis at about 15.

My female first cousin had a twin brother as well but he lived only a couple of days.

I knew several sets of twins in my life: two pairs in my kindergarten group (two non identical boys and a boy and a girl), two identical girls in my elementary school, later at 12 I knew also two otehr identical girls, 2 years older than myself, later two identical sisters from my college, one of whom was in my group and later I taught English to two non identical male twins.

I am one of several clones of an obscure science fiction writer created as part of a plan for global domination masterminded by monkeys who smoke grass.

Mick Avory and I, are kindred souls, born 30 years apart. I guess I could say, that I have a Soul Twin. 8)

My mom has two cousins who are twins and my mother in law is a twin and I hear there are others on my husband's side so I have a higher chance of conceiving twins. It be a bonus if I had a pair because I decided I would like to have at least two kids. Then I wouldn't have to worry about another pregnancy and the labor unless a child came unplanned because the condom broke.

Not in the family, but I have known about 2 or 3 pairs of twins during my 16, almost 17, years. Plus a set of triplets!

They were Finnish.........

ANYWAY.

There are no twins in my family, and I've never known any twins in real life. This makes me kind of sad because I'm really fascinated by twins.

I have twin siblings, sisters. They aren't identical. I have twin cousins, boys. They aren't identical either.

My mum & her sister married brothers and had their twins only a few months apart.

One of my close mates has twin daughters. They aren't identical.

In the small town where I live there are an enormous amount of twins, some identical and some not, and two sets of triplets.

People always say there must be something in the water.

I think it's something in the test tube...In Vitro Fertilisation...

There is only 1 in my family that I know of, I think its like my grandma's sisters kids kid's. I dont even know them though.

I had friends who were twins though. I wish I had a twin, It seems easier in school because kids think its so cool to have a twin...

There were triplets in the school I went to, they were 2 boys and 1 girl.

I don't think there are any twins in my family at all. Oh, wait, I take it back: my mother's aunt's son had twins. I've never met them.

As for school, there was one set of twins in my grade. They were fraternal, and people knew they were sisters but would always assume one was older than the other. They really didn't look alike, and though they said they acted differently, they were carbon copies in some of the more obvious personality aspects. The grade above me had 6 sets of twins, 3 of them identical. And my littler brother was on a soccer team with a family that had two sets of fraternal twin boys. Everyone always thought - and they really did look like it - would put one older with one younger (they were only about a year apart) as twins, as one of each looked identical to the other of the other set. (That looks confusing. A and B were twins, and C and D were twins; people would think A and C were twins and B and D were twins.)

One of my aunts has two daughters who are twins. They're both in their 30s now. They're identical twins, but I can tell them apart every now and then.

In high school, I was friends with a pair of twin girls, but they were easy to tell apart.

I'm sorry to hear that. :( My mom had my brother, then another baby but that baby died right after birth. Then she had me. It's hard sometimes because I feel guilty about the "other" baby.

I have two sets of twins in the family. My cousins, a boy and a girl pair, and my half cousins, (Mom's half sisters children) are Identical twin boys. Both on my mom's side.

I knew another boy/girl pair in elementary school. coincidentally, they would up knowing my cousins, although they lived in different places.
