Hair changes that will be hard to reverse if it looks bad

I'm bored of my natural hair color (light brown/dark blond), its been the same for nearly a year. I've done platinum blond but it washes me out and its too high maintenance. I'm not pale as snow, but I'm not super tan either. Would black hair look awful with a middle-of-the-road tan?

What's your natural hair color.
What cut do you have?

I don't think black hair really looks good on anyone. I wonder if a mid-dark reddish brown would be nice for you. Just a hint of red though.

Why would you want to change your hair color if you're a natural blonde? There are so few of us left in the world! Keep it!

maybe try a non-permanent dye in a dark brown first. The effect wont be as dramatic, but if it doesn't look great it'll fade out quite quickly anyway
