I hate that this letter came, nobody ever stole anything over line that was copy writing.i'm so confused they coming out in a few days to investigate or something. my brother check our ip address in it don't match the one on the paper,

Do you use Limewire to download songs by any chance? If so, it explains why?

It must be some kind of mistake if the ip address doesn't match. What a bunch of ret*ds. Monique, I hope they get their mess straightened out asap.

I had an arrest warrant out on me once because someone idiot attorney said I was served with papers to appear in court when I never was.

My parents went ballistic and threatened to report the attorney to the state bar and sue his @ss off as well.

That gave him enough motivation to get off his dumb@ss, get his crap together and get his mess straightened out.

It was upsetting to me to say the least. I had just had surgery and was trying to recover from that and I was suppose to go the court house by a certain time and pay this large fine or be in even more trouble or some such BS.

So I understand how you feel. Unfortunately these stupid, wrong, nerve-wracking, stressful situations happen to even the best of us.

Do you have a wireless router maybe a neighbor was riding your bandwith and downloading stuff. We had an unsecure router then we finally added a password. I stopped using Limewire a little over a year ago after I found out about bit torrent.

We got something like that letter. No one came out but it means we have been flagged and are being monitored for the time being. As long as the IP addresses do not match you have your proof. What a headache.

Just asking was it a letter or an e-mail? If it was a letter mailed to you it could be a scam to extort money from you so you, ah hum, will avoid prosecution.

Did you get the letter in an email or regular mail I get lots of emails saying that the FBI is investigating me for stuff & I need install some program on my comp or something so they can check my computer. It's all spam/phishing. Maybe that's what's going on here If it is legit your IP address could be different than what's on the letter because most home users do not have a static IP so you may not have the same IP address every day. We got an email from Comcast a few years ago cuz I accidentally downloaded some pdf file on Kazaa that was copyrighted. It was a warning about how it was illegal & that they could cancel service. My mom freaked & had the account transferred to my name so now I'm paying that bill & all. I stick to torrents & sites now instead of programs like Kazaa & Limewire & I never had anything else sense. What really ticked me off thou was that I really did DL that pdf book by mistake. I know people who brag about DLing child porn on those programs & they never got told anything. It's really sick the way the priorities are

we got it through the mail form cable-vision. so far my brother reminded me don't worry about it cause they sent one here before lol. so i'm much more relax

It is possible to report (file a complaint about) an attorney, but it is not possible to sue one.
