How often do you change your avatar?

My post in the random thread got me thinkin', and I'd like to know how many people here change their avatars often or never at all.

So please take my poll, and please leave any specifics about your answer below.

I change mine roughly once every two to three weeks.

It was a difficult one for me to decide because there is times where I would change it like very couple of days and some for a good long 2/3 months.

I only changed mine today because WP ate my avatar.

I have been here almost a year and I changed mine once and it was really strange to me so I put it back to this one. Sometimes I think I would like to but I never know what to change it to. Perhaps I have grown to accustomed to this one.

Never had an avatar since I joined almost 18 months ago. I have used other forums and I usually change my avatar a couple of times a year.

Varies considerably. Sometimes as long as a year, sometimes changes every few days.

I have not changed mine since joining. It feels like "me", and someone actually said, after I went on a meet last year and photos were posted, how extraordinarily like it I look! :lol

I recognise people by their avatars. And so unless I exchange a lot of thread posts or pms, ( on a regular basis ), with someone, *or* if they have a very noticeable username, I will actually not "see" them if they change their avatar, not for a while anyway

I recall only changing my avatar once, and that was a few posts after I had joined. My first avatar was a blue sun, or something, then I changed it to the avatar I have now. I have no intention of changing my avatar in the foreseeable future.

Once a month or so, I get kind of bored of my avatars after a while and if I find a picture I really like the look of I will change it to that.

I've been here only a few weeks and changed my avatar once. The only reason I did was because I cut my hair and felt the one I joined with no longer reflected what I looked like.

I doubt I'll be changing it much. At other sites, I tend to change it a few times a year, if that.

I hardly ever changed anything.

With me, I'll maybe change it about once or twice a year...

Really I just can't be bothered to change it more often.

I change mine every two months.

I haven't changed my avatar since joining. Not sure if I will in the future, I really like this picture of my cat.

I voted for "never", but I did change it once a while ago, when I got bored of having a default avatar I had picked from the board.

I joined exactly 7 months ago, and 7 months = 212 days...
I have had three avatars. (Abstract metal sculpture, fake item box, and The Thinker.)
212/3 = 70.66
So, I change mine, on average, every 70 days. [I'm not rounding up.]
70 days = 2 months and 10 days.
