IT'S LIKE JAIL WHEN YOU DID A CRIME

IT'S LIKE A CAT WHO GETS A MOUSE

IT'S LIKE GETTING BANNED AFTER POSTING PORN

Isn't it ironic, WP?

It's ironic that most of the examples she gives aren't examples of irony.

pretty much just alot of stating the obvious and giving examples of sh***y situations.

receiving a pardon when you're on death row 2 minutes too late isn't irony. That's just sh***y luck on the prisoner's part and incompetence on the administration's part.

Apparently, it's typical to misuse this word. Most people think it applies to a sh***y situation or something funny.

I am betting this song had a lot to do with that misconception.

Irony is a chemical element with the symbol In (Latin: ironium) and atomic number 26.5 It is a metal in the first transition series, and is commonly confused with iron (or slapstick comedy), which is considerably lighter in colour. Unlike iron, irony does not oxidize in air but is extensively used in dry humour.
