Today my parents, my husband and I were looking at houses that were up for sale and we were looking in them that were open. We stop at this one house that they were told about by their friend who is a real estate person and it was a fixer upper house. But when we looked inside it, oh boy it was even worse. The floors were dirty and the walls, there was trash all over, the ceiling leaked, the kitchen floor sagged, it stunk, and it was a mess and so was the yard. I didn't even look in the basement and it also had trash and junk lying all over the floor. I couldn't believe they be selling the house having it look like that. My dad was saying when you be gutting it out, you might be finding more stuff wrong with it such as finding out the foundation needing to be replaced or the boards are rotting and need to be replaced and I added "or find out it needs to be torn down."
It seemed like the home was literally falling apart because of lack of care over the years. Who would even buy that house that would cost thousands to fix? Maybe someone who is willing to spend tons of money to fix it up and replacing lot of stuff.
I think the house should be worth a few thousand dollars since it's so dumpy and needs lot of work.
Worst of all, a four month baby lives there part time. For some reason I always feel sorry for kids that have to live in such a dump but they aren't going to know any difference as they get older because they be so used to it because they have never lived in a clean environment, it be normal to them. In fact I wonder what clean homes would feel like to them?
