Man, I can't wait fro the TB SSD to come down on price. It's extremely expensive becuase it isn't that old and stuff.

I can picture it, Windows XP booting like a few seconds. I can copy all my movies and TV shows in like a minute, when normally it would take about 2 hours becuase I have over 300 movies and quite a few TV shows.

I can't wait to see how fast it takes to install Windows on an SSD!! !

I wouldn't mind having one but they are expensive.

I ordered my MacBook Pro with the Solid-State drive and I LOVE it! It's so freakin' fast, the thing boots instantly and apps take no more than 1 second to load. Uses less energy and creates less heat. But it was considerably more expensive than a hard disk, and only 128 GB.

I'll never buy a computer with a hard disk ever again.

I forsee a beautiful future where all computers run fast and silently with solid state drives and water cooling.

Get a 40GB drive that is fast, set up a 30 gig system partition and a 10 gig swap partition and install windows 7 (or whatever you want) on it, then install the rest of the stuff on a regular drive. It will enhance your box a bit.

Sure, i'd love to have a SSD based TB storage for Games and VM's, but for personal use they are just too bloody expensive right now.

EDIT: Oh, and there is a reason why i said Windows 7 and not XP. XP isnt fully compatible with SSD drives, Windows 7 (and Vista to some limited extent) has support for them.

Yeah, I'd love an SSD too, they last longer than HHDs as well, but the current prices are obscene.
