Most murder victims aren't murdered by a stranger, but by someone they know and trust.

There was a recent incident involving someone living in a village, who was known as a nice guy in the community, getting in his car and shooting out the window of his cab, killing 12 people, injuring 11, then killing himself.

This begs the question... How much can you really know a person? How can you really trust anyone?

We all have the potential to do great good or great harm.

My mom and I have discussions about this kind of thing all the time and we came to the conclusion that you can never know what people are actually thinking and you can't trust anyone completely.

A true story that really illustrates the point: we went to church with a very kind, married man who offered to pay all of the expenses in order for me to get my teeth fixed, which had a severe overbite and deformed gums. We gladly accepted his offer. Several years later, we turned on the news and saw his face. He was arrested for possession of child pornography.

A much less extreme example would be watching a show like Strange Sex on TLC and seeing completely normal-looking people talk about their bizarre fetishes.

I think trust is built over time & I think you can know some people quite well depending on various factors. I imagine most people would know someone who grew up next door & was their best friend & in the same classes as them a lot better than they know someone who they only work with. I think you can know people better by spending more time with em in different environments

It's a dangerous world out there. You can't trust anybody.

When a guy is really nice to me and wants to be very helpful, I stay away from him. He most likely is not a great person. After my last relationship I don't trust no one.

I trusted a college professor of mine and I was out shopping and another college professor called my name. We talked awhile and she told me that one of my college professors was in jail. She didn't tell me for what reason, but I went online and checked. I trusted this man. But he had a dark side. No clue what he's doing and where he lives now.

Is this why women are attracted to guys who are mean to em :?:

No, that's just a result of that particular person's experiences. Not all girls act like that at all. But let's not go off-topic here.
