I've read in many publications this can be an Aspie trait, As far back as I can remember I have hated any labels on clothes and cut them out as soon as I get them. There is just something about labels that irritate my skin but they also just don't feel right. Sometimes items can have two or three labels inside, like a pair of shorts for example and I think, is that really necessary... so do others find labels irritating?

Sometimes they bother me a little, sometimes not at all, and sometimes I find them to be very painful. This was particularly problematic for me as a child--all tags had to be removed from clothing, my shirt couldn't be touching my underarms, and the seams on my socks had to be as thin as possible and perfectly aligned. I found such things to be literally quite painful, though my mother probably thought I was just being a pain in the ass.

They only bother me when they're an integral, yet noticable part of the design or when they don't fit the design at all.

They don't bother me, or bother, but I don't care. I've heard Valoy, stop scratching your neck, cut this label, if it bothers you! Generally I'm not touch-sensitive.

The labels on the inside usually did bother me and i'd cut or tear them out. I also and more so really despise advertised labels on clothing. Wont wear shirts or polos that have their own logo on the shirt.

Yes, on the inside of clothing in particular, as for the outside I am not fussy about logo's etc, I hardly notice that, it is the feel of labels that I have always disliked.

Sometimes labels bother me, especially if they are the stiff type with little give. Ironically, one that gives me trouble is the one in my WrongPlanet shirt 8O .

Yes. It is made like a golf shirt, or Polo shirt. It's white with the big alien on the back with the WrongPlanet logo. It also has the logo on the front. I think the name of the company I got it from is CafePress.com. I got it in the Fall of 2008.

Thanks glider - I use CafePress so I will contact them, I know they make them to order, I was not sure if WrongPlanet made their own [which is why I asked]... :D

The labels on shirts use to drive me nuts and I had to rip them out because cutting them just made it use. Gave the tags a sharp edge. Now I don't notice them, either because the tags aren't as big and annoying as they once were or I grew out of it.

Labels/tags on my cloths bother me a lot. I cut em all off. I have skin eczema; Atopic Dermatitis & certain fabric material makes me itch more. I thought tags/labels thing was related to that some

I have an issue with tags if they are too big or long - most of my workout stuff(which is mostly lululemon) have tear-out tags and the size is silk-screened as a small dot. Most of my other clothes have it sewn on flat.

I'm also picky about fit and feel as well.

yes. i rip them out and so all of my shirts have tears at the neck or the neck removed entirely. also lots of them have holes at the bottom left where there is often a tag. i buy everything used and now just look for things without tags. my clothes are a mess. the more worn the better.

also often i yank at the armpit area of my shirts to tear the thread at that seam so they will fit more loosely there as seams sometimes bother me too.

I just buy the shirts that don't have tags.

I never buy shirts; I'm given shirts. For someone my parents like to buy me fancy dress shirts that have rough fabric & buttons & collars when they know I don't wear em. I tell em to take em back but they never do & then they get mad latter about how they spent money on cloths for me that I never wear but latter on they buy me more & the stupid cycle continues. It's usually very hot & humid here & I don't usually go places or do things where I need to dress up. My dad works in construction & goes shopping wearing pants & shirts with holes in em. Yet my mom's going to complain about me wearing shorts. As the Youngster in Pokemon Yellow game-boy games says;~ "I like shorts. They're comfy & easy to wear".
